College of the Redwoods provides the knowledge and hands-on training needed to become successful in the building construction field.

The Construction Technology program at College of the Redwoods has been providing hands-on skills, technical knowledge and related trade information for over thirty years in Northern California’s Del Norte, Humboldt, Mendocino, and Trinity Counties.

Our program offers:

• Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Construction Technology


• A new Historic Preservation and Restoration Technology A.S. degree will begin in Spring 2002


• One-year and two-year certificates in Construction Technology that include:

• Residential Construction
• Historic Preservation and Restoration Technology (HPRT)
• Fine Woodworking
• Cabinetmaking
• Electrical Wiring
• Basic New Construction
• Basic Remodeling/Restoration

The State of California recognizes this program as work experience earned towards a State Contractor's License and CalWorks/Welfare-to-Work training.
